Senior Manager, Personalisation Strategy & Decisioning

The Role:

Our client is a well-known building society with headquarters in Swindon; As one of the largest savings and mortgage providers in the UK, 15 million members are at the heart of everything they do.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Senior Manager, Personalisation Strategy & Decisioning for a 3-month contract based in Swindon or London.

Purpose of the Role:

This exciting and important role is within the Customer, Brand and Engagement (CB&E) function. This role specifically sits within the 'Personalisation and Performance team', and you'll be working with the Head of Personalisation Strategy & Decisioning. Within this position you will oversee the development and integration of our comprehensive Customer Contact Strategy, ensuring that our Personalisation and Performance team consistently crafts and delivers tailored, timely, and impactful interactions with our customers. Additionally, you will manage the configuration, operation, and upkeep of our central decision-making capability, aligning its sophistication and intricacy with the evolving depth of our data and technological capabilities to meet Society goals effectively.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Setting our overall 'Customer Contact Strategy' and then working with the rest of the Performance and Personalisation team to embed these principles which will ensure the teams are creating and delivering personalised, multi-channel, relevant, timely and effective interactions.
• Configuring, running & maintaining our central decisioning capability to achieve society goals with the sophistication and complexity growing in line with the uplift in our data and tech capability.
• Helping with short term improvements in what and how we create and deliver personalised interactions today, as well as the longer term running of our centralised decisioning and personalisation real time engine. This will involve deploying advanced analytics and machine learning for next best engagement decisioning.
• Building effective working relationships across the Performance & Personalisation team to ensure that our Personalisation Strategy and execution is aligned.
• Setting clear delivery milestones and tracking progress against these providing timely and clear updates to all key stakeholders.
• Line management responsibility as the team grows.

What we require from the candidate:

• Experience of working in a range of marketing and/or engagement roles specifically setting and delivering strategy for owned media.
• Experience of having implemented and delivered real time decisioning and personalisation solutions.
• Experience in deploying advanced analytics and machine learning for next best engagement decisioning personalising both communications and the broader experience for customers.
• Experienced at understanding, analysing, and interpreting complex data and insight to inform strategy and decision making, with excellent commercial acumen and a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills - right up to the most senior levels. You'll also be able to hold senior stakeholders to account and drive others to deliver the right outcomes for the Society and our customers.
• Financial Services experience or a large company experience.
