Job purpose
The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for developing the positioning, messaging, and branding of the Medthority product, with the ultimate goal of attracting healthcare professionals (HCPs) to Medthority and turning one-time visitors into loyal learners and committed brand advocates.
The Senior Marketing Manager works with others in the business, and the wider Audience Communications Team to help build lasting engagement and relationships with the HCPs. With the help of a small team of copywriters and scientific messaging experts, they’ll also be responsible for developing and delivering a compelling brand story on our organic social media channels; building partnerships with our Key Opinion Leaders; conducting research into the HCP community and ensuring Medthority is correctly positioned in the minds of healthcare professionals through compelling, and scientifically accurate copy.
We are looking for excellent organizational, communication, research, and problem-solving skills as well as experience in any of the following: publishing/pharma/science/EdTech.
A good degree is essential. A further degree or CIM, or other relevant qualification is desirable.
Core Duties
- Develop and oversee core communications message documentation; develop and implement copywriting guidelines and oversee and improve the copy created for use in digital marketing campaigns
- Develop individual project plans, ensuring they incorporate broader messaging and brand strategies and that product positioning is supported
- Manage a small team of experts in copywriting, scientific messaging, social media - be responsible for brand output
- Develop and execute market and subscriber research
- Develop partnerships with KOLs and Scientific Organisations in collaboration with others in the business
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A good degree from a top-ranked university (essential)
- Experience in publishing/pharma/EdTech
- A further degree or CIM, or other relevant qualification
- A broad understanding of medicine/medical sciences
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- At least 4 / 5 years' experience, and the proven ability to manage a small team
