About the role:
As Senior People Advisor you will be providing comprehensive People support and guidance to employees and managers, facilitating effective employee relations, performance management, recruitment, training and development, People administration, and compliance. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor promoting a positive work environment, fostering employee engagement, and supporting the achievement of organisational goals and objectives.
Key Accountabilities will include:
Employee Relations:
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
- Act as a trusted advisor to handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and performance concerns.
- Conduct impartial investigations into employee complaints, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Offer guidance to managers on interpreting and applying People policies and employment laws.
Performance Management:
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting and appraisals.
- Provide coaching to improve employee performance and development.
- Implement initiatives and tools to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Coordinate smooth onboarding experiences for new hires.
- Manage recruitment documentation and processes efficiently.
People Administration and Compliance:
- Handle HR administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews.
Development and Leadership:
- Stay updated on employment laws and industry trends.
- Oversee the Trainee People Advisor and support their development.
- Promote a culture of fairness, equity, and inclusion through policy implementation.
About you:
- Previous experience in a HR focussed role
- CIPD Level 5 or studying towards
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures, with a strong understanding of employment law and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS
- Previous experience in Financial Services is desirable
