Red Sky Personnel is seeking a Senior Planner on behalf of a leading global construction and civil engineering company. In this role, you will establish and maintain the overall time plan for a project based in Euston.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a realistic integrated master schedule for the Euston Project, highlighting critical milestones for key activities, deliverables, and interfaces.
- Ensure visibility and clarity of programme interface requirements and dependencies, assigning and understanding responsibilities for managing these interfaces.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for the Project SLT, providing timely overviews of programme time performance.
- Develop and present forecasts of milestone achievements, using EVA techniques to measure trends and keep the project completion date up-to-date. Recommend actions to mitigate potential time over-runs.
- Provide advice and guidance to the project delivery team, reviewing and challenging sub-contractors' programmes where necessary.
- Include adequate time provisions in project schedules to allow for overall Programme integration.
- Manage the time contingency built into the Programme for programme-level risks, ensuring contingency allowances reflect the current programme position.
- Establish Programme-level commissioning and testing schedules, considering project interfaces and planned completion schedules.
- Ensure consistent planning techniques and the use of a common WBS at all project levels.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong understanding of project planning and control techniques.
- Expert knowledge of Primavera and similar planning software.
- Strong knowledge of integrated project planning.
- Expert knowledge of EVA techniques.
- Ability to use schedule risk modeling software like Pertmaster.
Qualifications, Certifications, and Experience:
- Relevant experience in project planning.
- Significant experience with large projects.
- MAPM or formal PM/Project controls qualification.
- Experience in the railway environment.
