About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting external suppliers as they manage complex print and digital products from handover of developed content to final print or digital output format. You will also be supporting and training suppliers to utilise OUP’s standard processes, systems and workflows to ensure the efficiency and quality of final outputs. You are expected to work towards empowering suppliers to take ownership of the production process, to ensure content is delivered to agreed publishing date and specifications and is consistent with the Divisions’ Strategic Objectives and Mission Success Factors.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
Essential:
- Flexibility, creativity, and initiative in problem solving along with an ability to get to the root cause and facilitate a path to success.
- Ability to empathise, support, and collaborate with others on problem resolution and to step back and entrust others with implementation.
- Experience of commissioning and managing the work of external suppliers.
- Ability to build relationships, influence, and negotiate with key stakeholders
- Significant editorial experience in educational publishing.
- Experience of project managing print and/or digital content production.
- Experience of budget management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Well-developed organisational skills, including an ability to prioritise.
Desirable:
- Experience of training and mentoring on workflows, processes and tools
- Experience of budget management
- A background or interest in ELT
