Job Description
Our client is a leading rail systems company looking for a Project Engineer Electrification and Plant based in Hamilton, Scotland. As a Project Engineer E&P you will support rail industry customers in providing a safe and reliable rail network across the UK.
This is a hybrid role with a mixture of working from home, working in the office and on-site work.
Role:
The successful candidate will ensure all E&P engineering activities in connection with the tender, design, implementation, and commissioning of project work are coordinated and compliant.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Act as CEM, E&P CRE or Senior Engineer (E&P) on allocated schemes as required
- Act as engineering contact and liaison with team members, clients and sub-contractors in order to resolve any technical issues
- Monitor progress against the project program and take appropriate action to mitigate against any delays
- Preparation of Work Package Plans, Task Briefings and Risk Assessments
- Ensure that changes to scope and specifications are managed, issues are raised and that risk registers are reviewed
- Work closely with Project Manager to ensure all cost targets are met
Essential Requirements:
- Strong experience and knowledge of E&P project work
- Excellent knowledge of all rail related E&P design and engineering principles, practises and standards, at least 5-7 years of experience.
- Appropriate educational and technical qualifications, e.g., HNC/HND/Degree
- Experience as CRE for Electrical and Plant
Desirable:
- Member of an appropriate professional institution
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills and commercial awareness
