Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Southampton with hybrid working

Our Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting eight long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly in joint ventures and alliances.
The Role: Our client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based at Testwood WTW with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and you will be expected to take responsibility for the Commercial Management of projects.
The Testwood & Burham project forms part of the CMDP Joint Venture Framework.
With a combined value of 200m, these 5-year clean water treatment projects are complex and offer a variety of exciting challenges.
Testwood Water Treatment Works is the largest in Hampshire. The works draw 136m litres of water a day from the River Test which are treated before supplying residents in Totton, Waterside, Southampton and the Isle of Wight. Testwood also supplies the Esso oil refinery at Fawley.
Responsibilities: Quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packages.
Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost.
Collaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are met,
Manage the main NEC from of contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary.
Preparation and issue of subcontract documentation.
Assist in the management and performance of subcontractors.
Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
The preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts.
Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff.
Maintain a positive and solution oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
Experience: Degree or equivalent
Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors, non-infrastructure water would be advantageous
