You’ll be responsible for breaking news inside the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, leveraging your network to get exclusive angles on the latest proceedings as well as developing a network of relevant executives, advisors, and lawyers.
We’re ideally looking for an experienced journalist with existing contacts and experience covering antitrust investigations although journalists with a strong track record and demonstrable interest in the space are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include:
- Writing insights and analysis on antitrust and competition law cases going through Washington
- Building a network of contacts through calls, meetings, and attending relevant business and governmental events
- Reporting from court as well as breaking scoops on the latest proceedings ahead major competitors
Requirements include:
- Significant experience as a business, financial, or legal journalist with a demonstrable interest in antitrust events
- Relevant Washington contacts would be a significant advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication
