Belshill - Hybrid Working with limited travel to another site in France in the first 6-9 months
Our client are seeking experienced Senior Electronic Engineer to join a market leading veterinary imaging solutions provider working on some fantastic projects in the animal diagnostics space. This Hybrid working role is based in Belshill, Lanarkshire. You will participate in the research, design, production and maintenance of electronic systems managed by the R&D Hardware department and help to develop new products and improve existing products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop functional specifications, feasibility studies and proposals for technical solutions
- Define analog and digital electronic architectures (detailed design, choice of electronic components)
- Develop electronic boards (schematics, place and route)
- Develop Firmware code in VHDL for FPGA components
- Develop tests of electronic boards
- Write technical documentation in accordance with the procedures defined in the Quality system (specifications, design and justification documents, technical reports, etc.)
- Execute development tasks while controlling the costs and deadlines planned at the beginning of the project
- Report on the progress of tasks by identifying difficulties and proposing alternative solutions
- Collaborate with the teams (electronics, embedded software, mechanics, etc.)
- Interface with subcontractors and technology partners
- Able to provide innovative solutions and maintain a high level of product technicality
About You:
- Bachelors Degree in Electronics or similar discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, ideally with medical devices or healthcare
- Technical expertise in the design of analog, digital and/or mixed electronic boards
- Technical skills in Electronics (CAD, schematics, routing, EMC, verification and validation, etc.)
- Technical skills in design, simulation tools, programming languages for microcontroller and FPGA (embedded C and VHDL)
- A collaborative individual with demonstrated experience collaborating across team and with other departments
