Responsibilities
- Spearhead research initiatives in Machine Learning and Generative AI that lay the groundwork for advancements across a wide range of scientific and technological domains.
- Collaborate and foster a culture of innovation with a team of world-class researchers and scientists to explore and solve fundamental problems in AI, with a focus on generating impactful, cross-disciplinary applications.
- Translate theoretical AI concepts into tangible solutions and methodologies that address complex issues within various fields of study and industry sectors.
- Disseminate research findings through publications, conference presentations, and engagements with the broader scientific community, enhancing Microsoft's reputation as a leader in AI research.
- Mentor and supervise interns, providing guidance and feedback on their projects and career development.
Qualifications
- An established background in Machine Learning and Generative AI, evidenced by a PhD in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
- A strong portfolio of Machine Learning research projects, demonstrating a history of impactful contributions.
- A deep understanding of both basic and state-of-the-art AI technologies and methodologies, paired with a creative approach to applying these tools to novel problems.
- A collaborative spirit, eager to work within an interdisciplinary team and contribute to a culture of innovation and discovery at Microsoft Research.
- A high level of communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively disseminate research findings and insights to a diverse audience, ranging from academic peers to industry partners and the general public.
