Due to expansion, our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their sales team. Ideally, you would be experienced in selling Doors/ Joinery Products or have worked in the Builders / Timber Merchant sector it would also be an advantage to have a good understanding of the construction sector. This position is for an experienced individual who can establish & build relationships at the Senior level.
Reporting to: Managing Director
As Senior Sales Manager, you will be working along with the estimating & sales team to promote the company’s products to exciting sectors including Local Authorities, Councils & Social Housing & Housing Associations.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Sales Manager
- Contract Negotiations
- Staying updated with Industry Trends
- Agreeing and setting up framework agreements
- Quoting and costing customer requirements
- Understanding customer needs and requirements, researching accounts, and identifying key players.
- Prospecting & lead generation
- Building and maintaining relationships and winning enquiries & ultimately the business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required as Senior Sales Manager
- Proven experience in sales
- Knowledge of Fire Doors & Fire Door Certification
- Experience dealing with Local Authorities / Governments negotiating and setting up Framework Agreements.
- General Construction knowledge essential & knowledge of the Construction sector
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Effective communication skills
- Customer-focused with sound commercial skills.
- Good IT skills & PC literate and experience with Microsoft Outlook
