The Senior Sales Manager will lead multiple teams of managers, agents and coaches to successfully execute the cross-sell sales strategy for one of our product groups. Ensuring the teams achieve their financial targets and objectives, whilst maintaining a customer-centric focus and operating within Verastar’s value and regulatory obligations. The Senior Sales Manager will also lead on strategic sales initiatives and change activity for their product group, ensuring these are delivered effectively.
Responsibilities of the role
- Successfully execute the cross-sell sales strategy for their area.
- Lead strategic sales initiatives, ensuring they drive sales growth and improve team performance.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and lead the implementation of changes in sales processes, tools, and strategies to optimise team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain a full team headcount, being proactive in all recruitment, induction and training.
- Coach and develop direct reports, improving their individual and collective capabilities.
- Actively contribute to improving the Customer Growth team processes and procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in leading and managing high-volume desk based B2B sales teams in the telecoms, water, utilities, or similar industries.
- Demonstrated success in leading and driving change initiatives within sales teams, resulting in improved performance and productivity.
- Experience in managing other Sales Managers or team leaders, providing guidance and support to achieve common goals.
- Proven experience in the successful delivery of sales team development, coaching and performance management plans.
- Demonstrable experience of B2B sales processes and best practices, including dialler, lead management and CRM system usage.
- Proven industry experience in an industry such as telecoms, water, utilities, and/or service provision, with a strong understanding of market trends and dynamics.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals.
- Adept at strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, driving positive outcomes in a competitive sales environment.
