Job Description
Our company has a rapidly growing interdisciplinary team of scientists in London and exciting plans to expand our London presence, initially at the Francis Crick Institute as part of our ‘Skylab’ expansion in 2024, and from 2027 in our new ‘state of art’ and fully integrated Research and Discovery Center at the hub of London’s knowledge Quarter, which will be home to approximately 180 scientists alongside other colleagues in discovery research, clinical, regulatory and business roles, including marketing, finance and administration.

Here you will report to the Supply Process Chemistry Lead within the External Capabilities group of Small Molecule Process R&D and be responsible for the work of teams of scientists at our external partners. You will provide daily scientific oversight and real-time problem solving in the areas of process development and intermediate/API deliveries in support of our small molecule pipeline.
You will collaborate with Process Chemistry, Discovery Process Chemistry, Enabling Technologies, Chemical Engineering R&D, Analytical R&D, Quality, and other partner groups to provide innovative and practical solutions to process development challenges and ensure successful intermediate/API deliveries under tight timelines.
You will be a subject matter expert in process development, possessing experience in general drug development and be able to build a broad network internally to influence a broad portfolio of programs and foster strong working relationships with our external partners. You will promote a culture of scientific excellence, trust, collaboration, quality, safety and compliance that extends beyond our team and into our partner organizations. With refined communication, influencing and relationship management skills you will establish long lasting partnerships in diverse geographies and cultures.
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
B.S. in Chemistry or Engineering with 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
Required:
5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in synthetic chemistry and demonstrated ability in working in dynamic teams.
Must have a track record of delivering results via innovation and fearless problem solving.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and collaboration skills.
Travel: 10% of the Time
Ability to work flexible hours and accommodate time zone differences to ensure effective communication and collaboration with our global team.
