As a Senior Support Worker in our Children's Services division, you will play a key role in providing leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers while ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and support to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising and supporting a team of Support Workers, providing guidance, training, and mentorship as needed.
* Collaborating with management to develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in Children's Services.
* Building positive relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders to promote engagement and well-being.
* Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, including scheduling, coordination, and record-keeping.
* Participating in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
* Providing hands-on support and assistance to children and young people as required.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery through feedback, evaluation, and quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker or team lead role within Children's Services.
* Relevant qualifications in health and social care or a related field.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection principles.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
