Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned client portfolio, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and deadlines, and communicate tax reporting obligations effectively.
- Correspond with clients to address queries and obtain necessary information for annual filings, collaborating with internal teams (Accounts, Business Management & Payroll).
- Prepare complex UK tax returns accurately, analysing data and conveying tax implications to senior management or clients.
- Review and draft initial tax advisory work for individuals, supporting management with complex advisory tasks.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to junior staff, overseeing their work and managing deadlines effectively.
- Prioritise workload and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Participate in internal Tax Technical training sessions.
Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in a personal tax role, with exposure to Owner Managed Businesses.
- Completed ATT and CTA qualifications or willingness to pursue them, with on-the-job training and study support provided.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts and a passion for continuous learning and researching legislation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts concisely and accurately.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address client queries and escalate issues as needed.
- Effective under pressure and adept at meeting tight deadlines.
- Highly organised with a commitment to client responsiveness and willingness to go the extra mile to meet deadlines.
- Self-confident, personable, and proactive, with a drive to build and maintain strong client and team relationships.
