THE COMPANY
Our client is a major Middle East group with multiple leisure-sector interests, including film exhibition and distribution. The company acquires its own films for distribution in the region and also distributes on behalf of two Major US Studios.
THE ROLE
As Senior Technical Operations Manager, you will ensure all localisation and versioning requirements for our clients' Distribution’s Studio features and trailers are delivered within budget, on schedule and to the highest of standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Forecast and manage the technical budget for each film, identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies.
- Manage the relationship with the Technical Operations Department at the Studio.
- Maintain a 360˚, watertight approach to content security at all times.
- Review content at earliest opportunity and advise on expected localization requirements.
- Responsible for all aspects of trailer and feature delivery, from OV screeners to fully localized DCPs for release in all required formats.
- Provide weekly progress reports and status updates for all trailers and features to the Head of Sales & Distribution and wider team.
- Manage the censorship schedule to ensure timely feedback from the censor boards to the Studio, proactively suggesting optimal edit solutions within budget and time constraints.
- Manage the subtitling/dubbing processes between local and regional vendors and the Studio.
- Oversee the tracking and returns for all physical HDDs (for cinemas/markets not yet using e-delivery).
- Ensure all studio systems are always kept up to date, from DCP orders to the TDL.
- Opportunity to support and contribute to the development of various in-house data projects.
THE PERSON
For this role, you will need an in-depth understanding of technical workflows, including mastering, graphic localisation, subtitling and dubbing.
You must have experience operating in a regionally controlled structure, where developing strong relationships with other managers is essential.
Lastly, you must have experience liaising with third-party agencies Government agencies and media preferred.
