Your Role:
To support us on our collective journey to success we are seeking a IT Technical Operation Manager to join our IT Team.
This role will be pivotal in managing the day-to-day IT support and cloud services, providing the opportunity to work with the latest Azure and M365 technologies across the insurance landscape. The successful applicant will be actively involved, both in a hands on role and with the support of our internal resources and 3rd party contracts, across the management of our Azure environment, M365 and Business applications.
What you’ll do:
- Management and oversight across the internal and partner 2nd/3rd line IT support functions.
- Incident and problem management across Applications, Database, Infrastructure, and Cloud computing environments.
- Management and completion of task delivery against small change portfolio.
- Management and maintenance of the IT security platforms and security standards.
- Escalation and co-ordination point for 3rd party outsource/partner support teams, across applications and infrastructure.
- Responsibility for the management and delivery of routine maintenance tasks associated to security, infrastructure, applications, batch processing and backend databases.
- When requested, represent Apollo Head of IT in select internal or external forums and meetings, with delegated responsibility.
- Major incident (crisis) and DR point of contact and technical lead/coordinator.
- Responsibility for operational Problem Management.
- Shared responsibility over IT Technical Change Management escalation and approvals.
- In association with the IT Service desk, ensures that all support processes are established, adhered to and reported in a timely manner by the immediate and wider departments teams.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working within a financial regulated and audited entity such as insurers, banks, building societies and credit unions, with responsibility over IT compliance and controls.
- Demonstratable management experience of small – medium internal support resources, and third-party support partners.
- Real world Microsoft Azure experience across architecture, service, management, and governance.
- Experience of operational support with Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS and DBaaS)
- Operational delivery excellence and small change management
- Supporting and overseeing delivery and support functions across M365, Power Platforms and collaboration suites.
