In 2024, we’ll be launching across the EU, following our successful launch in Sweden and our new office in Budapest. We’ll also be transforming our product, developing new features and introducing new products. In the UK, we now have over 1.6m registered users, offering a range of products like the Freetrade Pension, a stocks and shares ISA, and our premium plan, Freetrade Plus.
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will specialise in automating tests using advanced tools and frameworks, primarily focusing on mobile application testing.
You will:
- Lead the creation of (and writing) automated test scripts and then integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling functional-, integration-, regression-, and performance testing
- Maintain the Apps (Webdriver.io) automation framework and API automated solutions
- Identify, analyse, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content.
- Collaborate with the development team to improve the overall product quality, sharing feedback from the testing process and suggesting improvements.
You have:
- Familiarity with Firebase App Tester for Android and TestFlight for iOS
- Understanding of Xcode, Android Studio, and their respective simulators and emulators.
- Profound knowledge of WebdriverIO and Appium for automated testing.
- Basic understanding of software development processes and principles.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and build tools (CircleCI)

The application process consists of a 4 stage process. Following a phone interview with one of our internal Talent Specialists, you'll have interviews centred around your Technical abilities, as well as System Design and Architectural knowledge. The third and final interview will be with our two Co-Founders, to assess your alignment to our company Values and general fit.
