About The Role
This customer facing role is fast paced and duties are varied, from helping someone to find a suitable study space, use the printers, locate a book or borrow a laptop from one of our self-service lockers, as well as directing to other services as appropriate. During busy times you would assist with managing queues at the Information Desk. Our focus is supporting students and other library users to get the most out of our facilities.
You will be:
- dynamic and eager to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, providing excellent service and empowering our customers to make full use of the resources and support we offer
- confident in your own use of IT and also able to empower colleagues and service users in their use of IT and Library services.
- a person who views a problem as a challenge, taking ownership of it and being accountable for its resolution
- willing to carry out all aspects of the role and be accountable for the quality of our services and learning environments.
