Service Charge Legal Officer

Service Charge Legal Officer required for our public sector client to work on a Hybrid basis

Job Title: Service Charge Legal Officer

Pay Rate: PAYE £25.22ph | Umbrella £33.41ph

Hours 35 Hours a week (Mon-Fri) Hybrid - The expectation to come into the office is a minimum of one day per week/

Duration: 3 months

Purpose of the Role:

To issue claims and have conduct of cases for unpaid Service Charges including in respect of capital works
To represent the Council at the County Court and First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber)
To provide legal advice, assistance and guidance to the Council's Home Ownership team
To instruct the Council's Legal Services team to advise as appropriate
Experience of drafting issuing judgement claims and charging orders
Experience of legal enforcement action relating to leaseholders (collection and disputes)
Experience of attending court hearings and tribunals
