MCS Group is delighted to be working with one of Northern Ireland’s leading Public Sector bodies on the appointment of a Service Delivery Manager based in the Newtownabbey area. As the successful Service Delivery Manager, you will oversee the planning, organisation and delivery of transport services with safety, customer service and commerciality as your key drivers.
You will develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. And will be required to identify opportunities for change and lead continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Your day to day (in conjunction with the Area Manager):
- Manage business change linked to the business plan and deliver cost savings whilst identifying opportunities for change and leading continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
- Lead team in meeting targets in respect to Punctuality and Reliability, Customer service excellence, Safety standards and in turn assist in meeting passenger charter and public service contract commitments.
- Develop effective support structures to deliver the business needs with optimum efficiency.
- Assess, monitor and manage transport services, materials and cleaning (fleet presentation) and staff in the district, ensuring that staff are recruited, developed and trained to meet the needs of the business, to provide safe, cost-effective Service Delivery and high-quality customer service.
- Full responsibility for profit and loss accountability, as well as budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Responsibility for the on-going safety culture ensuring adherence to health & safety and environmental legislation and standards.
- Respond to and provide constructive and consistent solutions to a variety of employee and trade union issues to maintain good industrial relations.
- Maintain and develop systems and records to meet legal and practical needs and to provide KPl/reports.
- Maximise the use of all operational technical systems to ensure an efficient, compliant service which provides safety and value for money for customers.

Your credentials:
- 3 years' experience of commercial and operational management
- Proven track record of Service Delivery within a large-scale multidisciplinary business
- Experience of leading, developing and delivering change in a trade unionised environment
- Budget preparation, financial forecasting and financial analysis experience
- Possess a minimum of an HNC/HND or equivalent.
- Competent user of computer packages and in particular, Microsoft Office packages
