Our client in central Gloucester is looking for a Service Desk Analyst on a 6 month fixed term contract (likely to go permanent after) to cover 1st Line Support. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for their first role within IT who has recently obtained qualifications such as Comptia A+
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional technical support to end-users via phone, email, or chat
* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating more complex problems to appropriate teams
* Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
* Create detailed documentation of reported issues and resolution steps
* Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless IT operations
* Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and IT trends
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar role or a strong passion for IT support
* Solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and IT protocols
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a simple manner
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL
