Position Overview:

- Pay: £10.94 per hour (Weekly Pay)
- Working Pattern: 9 to 5, Monday to Friday (37 hours of work). The post is full time onsite and unsuitable for hybrid working
Main Duties:
SGB2 Preservation Assistants in PRONI are primarily responsible for retrieving and returning documents to fulfil both customer and staff orders. They also have responsibility for the physical preservation of the records including archive and store maintenance. These are physically demanding jobs that will involve considerable standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting and carrying. Duties can typically include: lifting and carrying boxes of records and books weighing up to 8 kg and climbing ladders to retrieve and return records housed in racked shelving.
Essential Criteria: To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- 2 GCSEs, including both Maths & English (or Level 2 equivalent).
- Basic Access NI Check.
