Role Description
We are looking for a multi skilled maintenance Technician to join our team in Windmill Lane, Southall.
You will be required to complete Planned maintenance tasks, attend breakdowns, take part in Root Cause Analysis & providing first line support to all plant and process.
Shift Pattern: Any 5 Out Of 7 Days on a rotating shift pattern (06:00 – 14:00) (14:00 – 22:00).
Hourly Rate: £21.55
Key Accountabilities
- Perform PPMs to standard as per schedule and record all activities and parts usage in the CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System (HolisTech).
- Service and repair equipment, (Pneumatic, Mechanical and Electrical). Ensure that all work being carried out is completed to a high standard, is visually acceptable and extends the life off the equipment.
- Respond to machine/equipment breakdowns immediately.
- Maintain high expectation & champion processes to control standards in all areas of GMP, HSE, and Process etc.
- Be an active team member in problem solving and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, using lean tools and techniques, having the ability to effectively communicate both ‘upwards’ and ‘sideways’ and deliver value through service.
- Comply with regulatory, safety, environmental, customer, insurance, and hygiene procedures in the course of duties.
- Create autonomous maintenance schedules as a first line of fault detection and train out to operations staff.
- Escalate priority issues within the prescribed timelines and apply containment measures as detailed in the site escalation procedure.
- Time served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering preferably in a similar environment.
- Relevant experience within a Manufacturing Company.
- Proficient written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic MS Office tools.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Understanding of Engineering schematics (Mechanical/Electrical/Pneumatic/PI&D) and principles.
- Excellent fault-finding skills (an understanding of lean tools and principles would be an advantage)
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience of working in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment.
- Capable of working under pressure and to be accountable for actions taken.
