An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's most successful, purpose-led businesses, our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil, Cif, and Magnum, as a Shopper Marketing Executive x 1 (Homecare) and Shopper Marketing Executive x 1 (Beauty & Well-being) , based at their prestigious office in Kingston-upon-Thames 2 days in the office which are set days of Tuesday and Thursday & 3 from home.
These are full-time temporary roles to last for 6 months, working a 36.25-hour week. Depending on experience, these roles are paying up to £44,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.
The core purpose of this role is to support the Shopper Marketing Manager (SMM) in the delivery of tailored & differentiated Shopper Marketing campaigns for U/L brands.
As Shopper Marketing Executive you will be externally facing and sit at the heart of the business, working closely with brand, commercial and category to develop insight led activations, which build U/L brands and influence shoppers at the point of purchase. Within this role you will co-create marketing plans with various retailers, retailer agencies & SMMs from concept development stage to truly deliver a quadruple win (Shopper/U/L/ Retailer/Purpose). We work in an agile manner, meaning you will need to be adaptable, depending on where the biggest priorities lie, concentrating your efforts to meet key project deliverables across the Shopper Marketing team.
The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, working with numerous stakeholders across commercial, brand, media, digital, creative, insight and the wider Shopper Marketing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to forge meaningful relationships with external stakeholders across marketing, commercial, communications and community teams.
Requirements & Responsibilities
- Develop and land truly differentiated brand activations across digital and traditional channels for the biggest projects that deliver something different for the retailer and their shoppers.
- Harness relevant shopper insights and turn into strategic actions.
- Understand retailer dynamics and strategy & put the shopper at the centre of what we do.
- Engage stakeholders, working with agencies, customers, colleagues, and experts.
- Track and evaluate activations and ensure that learnings are shared internally, delivering against KPI's and driving return on marketing investment.
- Use Kantar, PDC, CMI and Nectar insight tool to understand shopper and category dynamics to enhance insights.
- Stay current with new ways of shopping and media associated with an omnichannel world through regular store visits and online walk throughs.
- Strong budget management skills, ensuring campaigns are executed to budget and with accurate forecasts, as well as the ability to raise Purchase Orders.
- Work with Retail Execution teams linking with Permanent Shelving/Trays & deployment into store.
- Minimum travel will be required within the UK.
