Job description
The jobholder will be responsible to the Director of Adult Community Services for the delivery of high quality intermediate care and specialist community services in the Southern Trust area. He or she will be responsible for the operational management of all services within the division - the portfolio of services is likely to be subject to change as a result of ongoing re-alignment of service however will initially include Acute Care at Home, Intermediate Care, Non Acute Hospitals rehabilitation chronic disease management, Primary Care based ICATS, GP Out of Hours, Phone First & Urgent Care Centre, Family planning and community sexual health and some specialist nursing services. He or she will ensure that the objectives of the Trusts Delivery Plan for these services are successfully implemented through effective multidisciplinary working. He or she will provide clear leadership to all staff in the division and will be responsible for effective financial management and the efficient use of all resources. The jobholder will also support the Director of Adult Community Services with Long-term planning and service reform initiatives. As an Assistant Director the jobholder will be a member of the directorates senior management team and will therefore contribute to policy development in the directorate and the achievement of its overall objectives. .

University degree or relevant professional qualification & worked for at least 2 years in a senior management role in a major complex organisation or Have worked for at least 5 years in a senior management role in a major complex organisation roleWorked with a diverse range of stakeholders, internal and external to the organisation, to achieve successful outcomes for a minimum of 2 years in the last 6 years , At least 2 years experience working at a senior management level in a community-facing or primary care service within HSC.
