Service Delivery:
-Lead and manage the Healthy Living Department through the provision of high level of customer service, a professional and proactive approach to the delivery of leisure, sport, health and wellbeing services.
-Provide and manage high quality facilities across the range of functions within the
department.
-Lead, manage and direct services, operations, teams and employees of your department in accordance with and supporting the council’s vision, values, behaviours and priorities through the development and delivery of the key council’s strategies, business plans and delivery programmes.
-Working alongside the Director, advise the council at a strategic level on new developments, opportunities, regional / national policy and the implications and opportunities for the council in relation to the services for which this post is responsible.
-Mitigate existing and emerging safeguarding risks, for both Council & Citizens, through ongoing development and review of the Council’s Safeguarding policy, procedures and practices, including managing and directing the work of the Safeguarding Coordinator.
-Lead and champion the council’s key commitments as identified in the Corporate, Community.
