42 hour average working week, Monday to Friday - flexibility of working hours is required as travel to sites is a regular part of the role. When out on site early starts and overnight stays may be needed - overtime will be paid for any additional hours
Our prestigious, long standing Engineering client based in Daventry are looking to recruit a Test Engineer.
Job Purpose:
To carry out the onsite essential testing and certification of a variety of hydraulic, pneumatic & torque equipment as well as HAV testing of Pneumatic Tools & PAT Testing of Electric tools.
Site Hydraulic & Pneumatic Test Engineer Responsibilities:
- Repair a variety of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as required by the company and customer
- The dismantling of tools and equipment as assigned, ensuring that all equipment is thoroughly inspected and the relevant job card completed both neatly and accurately with all relevant details
- Regularly required to work at customer locations as part of the companies on-site services - *This work is dependent on the contracts that our client has in hand at any given time*
- To recognise when tools are wearing or close to failure and have them taken away for an estimate of repair
- Ensure that all equipment repairs and refurbishments are carried out safely and to the standards set by our clients quality procedures
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment is carried out to the required standard
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Carry out any other tasks as deemed reasonable by the company which fall within your competencies
- Complies with all company rules including all health, safety, quality and environmental requirements
Site Hydraulic & Pneumatic Test Engineer Requirements:
- Previous technical, engineering or mechanical working experience ESSENTIAL
- Must have a valid driving licence and a minimum of 3 years driving experience for insurance purposes
- Happy to stay away from home when required
- Engineering, technical or mechanical diploma / certificate ideal but not essential
- Hardworking and conscientious, must be able to carry out all aspects of the role
- Willing and keen to learn within new aspects of the role, open to change
- Demonstrate dependability and self motivation and the ability to work unsupervised
Remuneration package:
- Up to £25,000 depending on experience
- Non contractual discretionary profit related bonus scheme payable up to 5% of salary paid twice in a financial year (6 monthly period, after completion of probation period
- 22 days holiday + Bank holidays - rising by one day each years service after 2 years service up to 26 + Bank holidays
