This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager looking to join a long-standing and well-respected building consultancy, focusing on commercial refurbishment and new build projects, with the opportunity to progress and impact a growing business.
Are you a Site Manager with experience on school and college construction projects? Do you want to work for a business with an excellent industry reputation? Are you looking for a role split between new build and refurbishment?
The business, a construction contractor established for almost 150 years, have an excellent industry reputation and a track record of delivering complex projects and building strong and long-term business relationships. The company work on a variety of projects split between refurbishments and new build, and primarily specialise in commercial construction, largely within colleges and private schools. They're now looking to grow upon their talented employee base and further facilitate their growth plans by onboarding an experienced Site Manager to hit the ground running.
The ideal candidate will have Site Management experience working on college/school/commercial new build and refurbishment projects. The ideal candidate will also be based near Oxford and be comfortable travelling to projects in the locality.
This is an exciting opportunity for an autonomous Site Manager looking to work across refurb and new build projects, with the opportunity to progress to Contracts Manager for the right candidate.
The Role:
*Reporting to Contracts Manager.
*Managing projects on site, including refurbishment of historic buildings and new build projects.
*Responsible for all phases of construction projects.
*Client facing.
*Reading and understanding construction drawings and performing quality checks.
*Progression to Contracts Manager long-term.
The Person:
*Experienced with both new build and refurbishment on site.
*Experienced with Commercial projects, ideally schools and/or historic buildings.
*Self-motivated and punctual.
*SMSTS desirable.
*Based a commutable distance to Oxford.
