Position summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Site Manager. The Site Manager will be responsible for implementing the strategy and day to day operations within the Leicester site (United Kingdom). It is a senior role that will work closely with global senior management team to reach company objectives including growth plans and financial goals.
Role responsibilities
- Overseeing daily business operations – consisting mainly of GMP peptide production (kg scale) and sterile fill & finish operations.
- Develop strategic plans to realize growth while maintaining productivity
- Assure, maintain and strengthen the current GMP quality level – while harmonizing quality system with other GMP sites within the Biosynth growth
- Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment and creating innovative approaches for improvement
- Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals
- Work with People Operations to recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability and business plan objectives
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
- Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved
- Performance management of team members ensuring employees have a clear understanding of their role and responsibilities
Requirements
- Degree in life sciences or scientific discipline is essential
- An additional degree in business management or related field is a bonus
- Extensive experience of site or operations management is essential
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced work environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to work with team members in other remote locations
- Good disposition for negotiations and mediation with business leaders, aligned with independent and creative thinking abilities
- Understanding global business practices, approaches taken to deliver value
- Ability to relate to others in a positive manner while being considerate, confident and collaborating with the team
- Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
