Main Duties
Renude is developing the world’s first dermatologist-approved AI skin advisor, creating a way for everyone, everywhere to access reliable skin advice personalised to their needs. Our technology is capable of assessing skin conditions, recommending over-the-counter skincare and providing follow-up/monitoring support.
As a Skincare Research Assistant you’ll work alongside Renude’s team of AI researchers, engineers, dermatologists and aestheticians. Your work will be key to supporting the training of our AI technologies, and will involve significant research into the fields of skincare and skin health.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Research into key skincare ingredients and how they affect the skin
- Critical analysis of existing research papers within the field to extract scientifically robust information
- Working with dermatologists and aestheticians to validate research outcomes
- Creating easy to digest content on subjects relating to skincare products, ingredients and the skin
- Staying up to date with new skincare product and ingredient launches across the UK and US
- Building and maintaining key databases
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, ideally Cosmetic Science or Aesthetics, or equivalent years of experience
- Technical understanding of skincare products and ingredients, and how to build an effective skincare routine based on goals and preferences
- Prior experience within research, either via an academic project or within a prior role
- Passion for skincare science and an overall awareness of the skincare market
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Qualification or experience which includes anatomy / physiology of the skin
- Experience in customer service is a plus
- Interest in AI and technology
- Proficient in Excel
