SalaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen with an established independent insurance broker based in Penistone. Due to an internal structure change, they are looking for someone to service and grow their SME portfolio.
The role would suit someone with SME knowledge that is keen to put their stamp on a book of clients, initially in a desk-based capacity, with a view to progressing in to an out and out Exec and attend face to face meetings for renewals and new business. You will work closely with the MD who will be there to pass on a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Main duties will include:
- Managing a book generating over £150,000 in income
- Building strong relationships with clients and understanding insurance needs
- Dealing with premiums ranging from £300 and exceeding £20,000
- Dealing with renewals and pro-actively ensuring a high retention level
- Communicating with Underwriters on a daily basis and building strong relationships
- Broking risks for new business and renewals
- Proactively looking for new business opportunities within the existing client portfolio
- Using a selection of online insurer portals to place new business and renewals
- Taking notification of any claims and passing to the relevant colleague
- Working closely with the Corporate team
- Using Acturis on a daily basis
