Social Media & Marketing Manager
Salary : £37,000 - £40,000 DOE + bonus
Start date : Flexible – May
Location : Hybrid- Wapping/WFH when office based / UK travel required for content creation
Hours : 40 hours a week, typically Monday – Friday.
Weekends and evenings are required for content creation (we are an Event based business). TOIL is given for additional days worked.
Norlin Live Operations are a Festival, Events & Venue Group, comprising of Field Vision Bars & Central Fusion. We deliver the likes of Wireless, Reading, Leeds, Boomtown & Kendal Calling, alongside established venues such as Dalston Roofpark, Drumsheds, Printworks and Dalston Yard.
We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media & Marketing Manager with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to look after our family of brands within the venues, events, and food & drink space. The right candidate will take ownership of planning and implementing our organic Social Media, email, website & paid marketing strategy, and drive awareness & engagement for the Norlin Live family of B2C and B2B brands.
Reporting into ourHead of Marketing & Brands and supported by our in-house Brand Designer and external agencies, you will drive the execution of our marketing activity, and regularly report on performance metrics both internally and to our key partners. Previous experience working with Event or Hospitality brands is required for this role.
The first 6 months in the position will see you tackle the summer relaunch of Dalston Roofpark, execute the launch of a new F&B venue, overhaul the content strategy for our B2B brand Field Vision Bars and support with the launch of a new food-led brand. You will be expected to travel to some of our UK festivals and venues to fully immerse yourself in the business and to capture content for our social channels as required.
Core Responsibilities:
Social Media Management: 60% approx
- Devise & execute our Social Media strategy across our Instagram and Linkedin accounts within the venues, festivals and events space (B2C and B2B).
- Manage our social accounts’ content calendars, including copywriting.
- Liaise with our creative teams (in-house and external) to ensure the quality of visual content is up to the required standards and in line with each brand presence.
- Liaise with our partners including venue/festival promoters and sponsor brands to plan and agree on shared content and scheduling plans
- Influencer Management including outreach/sourcing, briefing and performance management.
- Paid social campaigns management (Meta)
- Monitor and report on key social metrics - e.g. impressions, engagement, lead generation/revenue if applicable -, making recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure the content for each account is consistently on brand
- Potential development and implementation of our presence to new platforms (e.g. Tiktok)
- Ad-hoc mobile-first content creation & editing - complementary to our core content team. This could include festival season, music events, & venues behind the scenes.
- Basic community management
Other Digital Marketing: Email, Website, Google Ads: 30% approx
- Compile and edit the monthly newsletters for our 2 venue brands
- Manage the performance of our email campaigns, developing and implementing strategies to maximise growth, engagement and conversion
- Ongoing website management including content auditing, events listing, ensuring all messaging is up to date
- Monitor website performance & insights in order to identify ways to improve our user experience, liaising with our web developer where required.
- Implementing and managing SEO and SEM tools/campaigns
- Drive our Paid Social strategy
Research & Strategy: 10% approx
- Competitor Analysis and Industry Analysis
- Develop our brands’ platform strategy alongside our Head of Marketing & Brands (tone of voice, content pillars, format usage)
- Develop our brands’ Social Media strategy alongside our Head of Marketing & Brands Projects
- Identify consumer trends to help with planning Social Media campaigns
- Plan our yearly comms schedule with the aim of increasing brand awareness, customer engagement and sales for all our brands.
What you’ll need:
- MUST have experience with food/drink/events
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Ideally London-based, you are passionate about live events & hospitality.
- Demonstrable experience and success in creating and executing successful Social Media strategies that have driven brand awareness, engagement, and commercial growth.
- Experience managing multiple Social Media accounts
- Experience managing and optimising paid social & digital ad campaigns
- Experience creating and editing content
- Experience contributing to or managing brand strategy development
- Fluent English, with strong written skills to write and optimise copy
- Proficient in Social Media analytics tools
- A solid understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics and keyword search
- Great communication skills in order to liaise with multiple stakeholders, creatives and departments
- Good networking skills to form relationships with influencers and other key players
- Able to multitask and perform under pressure
- Able to think strategically and creatively
- Hands-on experience in a similar Social Media role (in-house or agency)
