The role
This is an exciting, fixed term/secondment opportunity with Camden’s Learning Disabilities Service. We are looking for a Social Worker, who will bring to this role high quality and effective social work support, delivering excellent strengths-based assessment, intervention, care planning and Social Work service to people with Learning Disabilities.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
About you
We are looking for someone who holds DIPSW, CQSW, BA, BSC or MA in Social Work or equivalent and registered with Social Work England with a minimum 2 year checkable experience.
The Ideal candidate will possess a good working knowledge of local care and support resources/options for adults with Learning Disabilities and their carers and where to find these.
You will have an excellent and demonstrable knowledge of relevant social care and health legislation, policies, procedures, and best practice guides. You will have the skills to respond appropriately to unexpected events and crisis and have the ability to recognise signs of harm, abuse and neglect and how to manage these issues.
