This position is for a experienced Software Engineer, high-skilled in Cloud technologies, autonomous, flexible, and committed.
The candidate should have a vast experience in developing and building software solutions end to end through the whole software life cycle.
We Architect, Design, Develop, Test and deploy applications and are responsible for the strategy through to implementation, change management and communication.

- Being an important part of the team as a Engineer as we strategically land our Digital programmes of work, working with Data Lakes, Data acquisition and store, Data transformation, Data classification, Data Quality and controls, Data Governance, Data integration, Data anonymisation etc
- Delivering high quality product and services to exceed customers expectation by driving our data approach is at the heart of our transformation through the application of Cloud-Native and Open-source technologies.
- Discussing functional and technical solutions with the different stakeholders in the business, UX designers, architecture, and engineering managers to ensure US are refined and understood at the correct level, whilst developing user stories working solo or pairing with a colleague/ Presenting and communicating at all levels
- Writing the automated testing required to ensure your stories meet the criteria to be considered "Done"
- Ensuring delivered solutions are developed under DevOps practices and latest technology trends, with keeping the solutions delivered running healthy in production minimising incidents and maximising quality of service
- Becoming a role model and mentor to the rest of the Technical team whilst working independently and be self-motivated
What you'll bring.
- Demonstrable experience as a Full Stack SW Developer (AWS Cloud Services and Java) and experience of software Engineering, in Application Development using the most recent versions of JavaScript, CSS, Java and Springboot
- Understanding of microservice oriented Architecture running on PaaS infrastructure
- Broad experience of agile software development practices (Unit testing, Test driven development or CI/CD)
- Experience using GitHub, Jira, Jenkins during the development lifecycle as well as using automated tools to evaluate robustness, quality and vulnerabilities of the code developed
- Experience of using agile methodologies, TDD and BDD
- Knowledge of working with distributed infrastructure systems and client-server architectures/ previous experience of supporting Production related incidents until resolution
It would also be nice for you to have.
- Excellent understanding of The AWS services and Well-Architected framework, event-driven architecture
- Adopting Agile engineering processes (Scrum/Kanban, DevOps, CI/CD, BDD/TDD test automation)
- Experience with SQL (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Aurora) and NoSQL (AWS DynamoDB, Mongo DB)
- Experience in both Front end and Back end technologies and willingness to learn and evolve

This role is based in Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.
