The role
As a Space Planner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for providing a space planning service across the whole of HMNB Clyde ensuring tasks are delivered safely on time, to specification and within an agreed budget.
Day to day, you'll ensure close liaison with all key stake holders throughout whilst also;
• Assisting the Senior Estate Utilisation Engineer in maximising the utilisation of all the section's resource.
• Project manage approved space planning requests from receipt to completion.
• Prepare detailed proposals in response to the variety of different space planning requests received.
• Manage the expectations of the client throughout the delivery of the space planning process.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and will be based at our Faslane Site. The role can mostly be completed from home with trips on site only needed for surveys etc.
Essential experience of the Space Planner
• Knowledge of Building control policy, Building Regulations and Planning Requirements.
• Experience in CAD
• Architectural experience desirable
• Design ideology and related construction methods.
Qualifications for the Space Planner
• Degree in Architecture, Building Design or Equivalent
• AutoCAD or Similar Design Packages
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
