Micro Space Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Space Planner to join a fast-paced team with a food retail business who have hundreds of stores across the UK. You will be required to maximise retail sales and profit through the allocation of space for your defined category, using market information and sales data. There will be a mix of remote and office working, with the job holder likely to be spending 3 days per week in their satellite office in South Wales and rest working from home, with the occasional visit to stores and suppliers
About the job
With responsibility for optimising the usage of space to deliver sales and profit, you will play a lead role in designing store layouts. Using bespoke space planning software, you will produce accurate planograms that will provide sales reports for the trading and sales team, allowing them to make informed commercial decisions. You will also be heavily involved in range reviews, producing presentations at range review meetings.
About the person
To be considered for this position, you will have ideally have experience in a Retail Space Planning / Visual Merchandising environment where you will have developed good planogram creation and maintenance skills. Alternatively, you could be working in a retail store where you have responsibility for visual merchandising, and want to specialise in this area. Either way, you will be highly analytical and numerical, with the ability to forge relationships with others in the business using your influencing and relationship building skills.
