Location: Chesterfield
Role to start immediately with a view to permanent employment.
Daily Rate: £70 – £95 per day (Until taken on permanently)

Specialist Teaching & Learning Assistant Job Description:
Within this Specialist Teaching & Learning Assistant role, you will be responsible for supporting pupils that for many reasons, struggle with mainstream education and are at risk of exclusion or have already been excluded.. These pupils need a tailored and structured way of learning in order support engagement and inspire them to learn. This is an exciting vacancy for someone who wants to make a difference to vulnerable learners, and promote the ethos of positive outcomes and aspirations for everybody. Your compassionate nature, patience, and dedication will help create a supportive learning environment where the pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your responsibilities will include:
You will support teaching and learning.
Provide one-one support to students with their learning activities.
Implement strategies and interventions to support the student’s individual needs.
Work closely with the teacher and other support staff to develop learning plans.
Encouraging independence and self-confidence in the students while fostering positive relationships and a sense of belonging within the school community.
Celebrating achievements and progress, no matter how small, to motivate and inspire the student to reach their goals.
Specialist Teaching & Learning Assistant Requirements:
Experience working with children with learning/behaviour needs at.
Must have a current driving license and car.
Able to work at a fast pace.
The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students, staff, and parents/carers.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the student and the school environment.
A willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEND and behaviour needs.
