With over 2,000 employees in 40 countries, our client is a world leader in manual and automatic door and window control systems, glass products, and smoke and heat ventilation. Due to continue expansion within their specification team, they are now looking for a Specification Sales Manager to cover the Midlands and North of England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for all Specification Sales activities of all the company's product ranges within the Southern England geographical sales areas.
- Liaison with Architects/Contractors/Fabricators/End users
- Providing specification and technical support to the company’s client base.
- Establish new contacts via the company’s lead generation system and marketing activities as well as identifying and generating own new business opportunities within the specification sector.
- Liaising with and providing support to the company’s external and internal sales teams.
- Define and implement a strategy regarding area management, in agreement with the National Specification Manager.
- Provide and present basic product training and CPD Seminars as per customer requirements.
The Candidate:
- Demonstrable field sales experience of a Specification Sales role, dealing with architects, specifiers and contractors
- Experience of specification of building related products
- Experience of completing CPDs
- Based in the Midlands or North of England
- The candidate must be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and sales targets.
- A working technical knowledge of technical products would be a major advantage.
- Good knowledge of the construction industry ideally with a technical engineering bias.
- Excellent sales negotiation, verbal and written communication skills.
