Sports Development Officer (Full time)
The Foundation of Light is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to fulfil the exciting role of Sports Development Officer as part of the Football in the Community team.
The successful candidate will deliver innovative behaviour interventions and classroom-based programmes across Secondary school aged groups, using the power of football and sport to engage. Classroom activities involve innovative PSHE, Enterprise and Social Action schemes of work which aim to develop a young person’s life skills, career progression opportunities and awareness of the wider world of work.
Working in collaboration with various departments across the Foundation of Light, the job role requires the candidate to be passionate about building relationships with schools, students and when required families, to motivate young people within their mainstream education.

The base for the post is the Beacon of Light, with regular delivery across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham.
