Stock Controller
Our client is a prominent supplier of high-quality wood and laminate flooring, dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services to their customers. They pride themselves on their extensive range of flooring options, excellent customer service, and commitment to sustainability.

Location: Northampton (working across two sites)
Hours: 8am - 5pm
We are currently recruiting a diligent and self-motivated Stock Controller on behalf of our client, to manage inventory across two sites in Northampton. This role involves working independently to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring accurate stock records, and supporting the overall efficiency of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate stock levels by conducting regular stock checks and audits across both sites.
- Manage and process stock orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock items, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and update inventory management systems accordingly.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments to ensure smooth stock operations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and other relevant metrics.
- Identify and address any stock discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure all stock control activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Use the company-provided van to travel between sites as required. Note that the van is for business use only and not for personal use.
- Operate forklifts and other MHE to move and manage stock safely and efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar role within a manufacturing or retail environment.
- Full UK driving licence to use the Company Van between sites.
- Valid certification to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and liaising effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel between the two sites as required.
