Stock Controller

EQUANS is looking for a Stock Controller to join our team based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a part time role working 32 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £10.42 per hour (rising to £11.44 per hour in April) and benefits package.

You will assist with the provision of Materials Management Service at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and associated areas in accordance with the contracted Service Level Agreement.

For this role, we are happy to be flexible over start/finish times as long as 32 hours are achieved over 5 days – to be discussed at interview stage.

What will you deliver?

• Ensure full compliance at all times with health and safety regulations, precautions, safe working practices and Data Protection requirements
• Carry out a regular count of materially managed items, to an agreed schedule using a computerised stock control system (PDA)
• Produce electronic ‘top up’ orders according to procedures
• Transport goods in a safe manner to designated wards/departments
• Check and put away stock on nominated wards/departments, noting and reporting discrepancies etc
• Ensure stock rotation for ‘top up’ lists as agreed with Line Manager
• Carry out administrative procedures associated with the provision of the Materials Management Service to ensure accurate records are maintained for reporting purposes
• Maintain a safe and tidy working area
• Carry out training courses as required by the Company
• Assist with the provision of the GP Vacutainer Service, ensuring that orders are picked and packed ready for distribution to clinics/surgeries
• Other duties within the scope of the post that are considered commensurate to this role.

Who are we looking for?

• Relevant stock control/stores experience
• NHS/Hospital experience
• Numerate and literate within an ability to write simple reports
• IT/Computer literate
• Experience in relevant stores/receipt and distribution environment
• Good interpersonal skills.

This role includes a Standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
