Our valued client, based in Worcestershire, are seeking a Stock Controller/Sales Representative to join their lovely team. The candidate must have a UK Drivers License and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 40 hours per week with flexibility on start times. (6am - 3:30pm or 8am - 5pm or 7am - 4pm)
As a Stock Controller/Sales Representative , it will be your job to develop procurement and sales of produce in the most efficient way in order to fulfil customer s orders and maintain continuity of supply within the guidelines given.
Duties:
- Conduct negotiations for cost-effective procurement and coordinate transportation logistics to maximise profitability.
- Cultivate and manage robust relationships with suppliers and customers to enhance sales and profitability.
- Manage the efficient updating of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems with new product lines and customer information.
- Investigate and resolve shortages in Proof of Delivery (POD) with Warehouse and Customer promptly.
- Provide coverage for colleagues during their absence due to holidays or illness.
- Verify stock levels and availability at the source depot.
- Plan and forecast produce quantities to prevent wastage and ensure sufficient stock for order fulfilment.
- Analyse market trends and competitor pricing strategies, negotiating weekly and seasonal prices with suppliers for sustained profitability.
- Establish supplier volumes through crop planning to maintain continuous supply in adherence to service level agreements.
- Assess consignments, manage the claim process when required, and reconcile stock movements to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Organise and negotiate internally and with third parties to maintain quality levels, delivery times, and cost prices.
- Promote, develop, and manage customer relationships to drive sales, foster growth, and uphold the supplier's reputation.
- Coordinate collections from customers and growers for cross-docking and distribution.
- Consolidate and coordinate orders for retailers and wholesale customers efficiently.
- Identify and allocate stock for daily use, ensuring appropriate labelling and storage.
- Take corrective actions to maintain quality in line with policies and standards.
