We have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Operative to join the team in Sheffield. The primary purpose of this role is to handle the physical logistics of materials, including receipt, handling, distribution, and ensuring good distribution practices per customer specifications. You will orchestrate site documentation, administer paperwork and stock, manage logistics documentation, and provide technical support to production staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Goods Receipt/Dispatch - Unloading deliveries, delivering consumable goods, putting away stock, delivering sub-contract parts, receipting materials in EFACS.
- Storage and Retrieval - Safe storage, stock put-away/retrieval, FIFO stock rotation, stock counting, regular PI checks.
- Kitting - Picking materials for works orders, real-time issuing in EFACS, delivering to production lines.
- Works Order Control - Accurate material issue recording, works order completion, split batching, route card printing.
- Picking and Packing - Picking finished parts, kitting/issuing, quality packing, loading onto vehicles with use of reach truck / FLT counterbalance, producing release notes.
Additionally, you will raise dispatch documents, manage subcontract purchase orders, assist with export documentation, and embody company values of Teamwork, Excellence, Commitment, and Integrity.
Qualifications:
- Fork Lift Truck License essential – minimum 2 years and current licence.
- Previous Stores/Warehouse experience (essential)
- Competent IT literacy (essential)
- Parts Counter experience (desirable)
