The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Strategic Spares Team working on a range of projects.
These include the delivery of Steam & Electrical projects supporting the AGR Life Extension and SZB LTO (SIDO) Programmes. These are cross fleet / multi-station projects to maintain stock holding positions, as per Company Technical Standards, and the harvesting of spares from defueling stations to support EDF Life Time Strategies. This ranges from the purchase of new plant items to the refurbishment of ex-service items. All delivered in line with the Investment Delivery Process (IDP) and accountable to the Strategic Spares Manager.
You will work closely with the Strategic Spares Team to ensure planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters.

We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069 - £71,779 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include…
- Monitoring and managing the project - track progress against milestones, deadlines, budget and provide key stakeholders with reports on these matters.
- Managing Projects through the Project Gated process, including production of Gate Papers, estimated costs and schedules.
- Developing project delivery strategies and commercial strategies to achieve the project objectives.
- Production of all Project documentation required to successfully deliver the Project scope.
- Working with Supply chain to ensure commercial aspects are managed to ensure effective delivery throughout the Project Lifecycle, including onsite activities.
- Driving the delivery of technical work to ensure key deliverables are met.
- Supporting in the identification of project risks and maintaining of the project risk log.
- Travel to site and suppliers when required.
Who you are
You will hold a minimum of a HNC qualification or equivalent and will have some experience working in the engineering or construction sectors. A degree or similar qualification in engineering, construction, project management or a related field would be highly advantageous.
You will need to have experience working with a nuclear or similarly highly regulated environment.
You will have already attained, or will be working towards, an APM qualification.
You will have previous experience in Project Management or Project Engineering and having used project management tools.
Experience delivering construction/engineering projects is desirable.
You will have the ability to learn quickly and demonstrate evidence of using a ‘problem-solving’ approach.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with and effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
