Job Title: Structural Design Engineer Location: North West England, Lancashire, Samlesbury
Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full–Time hours

Job Duties: Developing and designing structural components and systems for aerospace and aviation projectsConducting analysis and calculations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry regulationsCollaborating with cross–functional teams to integrate Structural Designs into overall project requirementsUtilising CAD software to create detailed design drawings and specificationsParticipating in design reviews and providing technical guidance on Structural Design aspectsPerforming risk assessments and proposing solutions to design challenges Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldProven experience in Structural Design within the aerospace or aviation industryKnowledge of industry standards and regulations related to Structural DesignStrong analytical and problem–solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilities Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Experience: Proven experience in Structural Design within the aerospace or aviation industry
Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in CAD software for Structural DesignUnderstanding of stress analysis and finite element methodsFamiliarity with materials and manufacturing processes used in aerospace industryAbility to work effectively in a fast–paced and collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related fieldProfessional engineering certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer status)Experience with advanced structural analysis tools and software Working Conditions: The role is based in an office environment at Samlesbury. Occasional travel may be required for project meetings and site visits.
