Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Supplier Assurance Manager to join their business.
Reporting into the Raw Materials Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
* Documentation Management: Oversee and maintain all Raw Materials & Supplier approval documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date.
* Supplier Performance: Administer supplier performance monitoring, maintain databases, compile data, and attend review meetings.
* Quality Monitoring: Track supplier quality and technical performance, addressing complaints, audits, and incidents as needed.
* Risk Assessment: Conduct risk ratings and implement necessary controls for raw materials.
* Audit Programme: Manage a comprehensive, risk-assessed Supplier Assurance audit programme.
* Specification Maintenance: Ensure raw material specifications are current and issued to procurement teams.
* Compliance and Legislation: Complete risk assessments to ensure compliance with food safety standards and legislation.
* Issue Investigation: Investigate and resolve supplier issues and complaints, ensuring satisfactory closure.
* Development Collaboration: Work with the development team to assess raw materials for product development.
* COA and Analytical Control: Manage COA reviews and oversee microbiological controls for product deliveries.
* Audit Support: Support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits on-site.
* Supplier Audits: Conduct occasional audits of key raw material suppliers.
* Data Provision: Provide data for Horizon scanning and follow up on identified issues or risks.
* Pesticide Management: Manage pesticide usage and compliance within raw material supplies.
