Supply Chain Manager

Reed Procurement & Supply Chain are currently working in partnership and exclusively with a well established transportation business located in Warrington who are now looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the business' transportation & warehousing operations.

This is an office based position and will require travel between Warrington & Oldham offices.

Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for:

• managing both the warehouse team & transport team
• driving the team towards key objectives and KPIs
• full accountability for warehouse productivity, H&S, compliance & stock
• audit controls for stock and compliance
• selecting & monitoring preferred Transport Service Providers
• managing or supporting tender processes and negotiating best prices and terms with TSPs
• responsible for customs compliance and liaising with HMRC
• stock management & controls
• improving efficiencies and process improvements

To be considered for the role, our client is looking for candidates with the following experiences:

• 2+ years relevant experience in the Supply Chain management
• 2 years experience of importing and exporting customs procedures for shipping from / to EU to UK / NI and ROI
• Management experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically, Word and Excel for data analysis
• Knowledge of Power BI, warehouse databases and reporting tools
• Strong organisation, planning reporting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to resolve problems as they arise, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Strong collaborative and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
