Reed Procurement & Supply Chain are currently working in partnership and exclusively with a well established transportation business located in Warrington who are now looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the business' transportation & warehousing operations.
This is an office based position and will require travel between Warrington & Oldham offices.
Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for:
- managing both the warehouse team & transport team
- driving the team towards key objectives and KPIs
- full accountability for warehouse productivity, H&S, compliance & stock
- audit controls for stock and compliance
- selecting & monitoring preferred Transport Service Providers
- managing or supporting tender processes and negotiating best prices and terms with TSPs
- responsible for customs compliance and liaising with HMRC
- stock management & controls
- improving efficiencies and process improvements
To be considered for the role, our client is looking for candidates with the following experiences:
- 2+ years relevant experience in the Supply Chain management
- 2 years experience of importing and exporting customs procedures for shipping from / to EU to UK / NI and ROI
- Management experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically, Word and Excel for data analysis
- Knowledge of Power BI, warehouse databases and reporting tools
- Strong organisation, planning reporting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to resolve problems as they arise, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Strong collaborative and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
