Supply Chain Manager - Hybrid

We are recruiting for a well-established company who distribute their products globally. They are now recruiting an experienced Supply Chain Manager who can confidently lead a team and improve efficiencies whilst optimizing Supply Chain processes.

The department has embraced change over the last couple of years but there is still plenty of work to do.

Recent cost savings have been achieved via stock reduction exercises but there are still untapped areas to drive further improvements such as, better stock forecasting to reduce storage costs and the implementation of a portal system to manage the flow of smaller customer orders.

There is currently significant duplication of work due to under utilistion of the internal systems. A detailed and thorough review will enable you to streamline this and take time and errors out of the process.

Orders can vary from full containers to single pallets with the latter greatly increasing administrative tasks and associated admin, by working more closely with commercial team, the order and delivery profile could be flattened, and efficiencies improved.

Your day-to-day will include all the typical activities you would expect in a distribution Supply Chain job.

• Managing relationships with third party hauliers and warehouse suppliers
• Clear communication of changes in rates relating to logistics
• Strong compliance management regarding customs paperwork and authenticity certifications
• Implementation of the strategy
• Negotiation and tender management for supplier services
• Participate and add value to new business tenders.
• Leadership of the Supply Chain team including regular reviews and progression plans.

With a solid background in Supply Chain operations the business will be very receptive to your ideas, they want to develop their digital capabilities and embrace technology.

What do you need?

• Demonstrable end to end Supply Chain knowledge from demand through to fulfilment.
• Experience in systems (SAP)
• International logistics background
• Proven successes in leading change initiatives
• Highly analytical mindset with strong financial acumen
