As the UKs largest provider and industry leader of everything gas cylinder related, this is the next pivotal hire and one that will see you managing all bulk supply at one of their busiest sites.
The Opportunity
This is a unique role whereby you will be working closely with your own team both new and existing where you will take a hands-on approach instilling best practice and a customer first approach. Furthermore, collaboration with other decision makers is a key area of the business where nurturing and developing relationships is an area that is being actively promoted.
The Role
As the Supply Chain Manager for the Brinsworth operation you will:
- Have the chance to take the lead on all aspects of bulk product supply
- Ensure that supply capacity is available and optimised to allow the planning centre to meet customers’ needs
- Lead a team designed to optimising the Bulk Supply Chain for the UK & Ireland by balancing supply and demands, ensuring minimum production and distribution costs are incurred, all whilst providing maximum customer service
- Develop, introduce and embed digital Supply Chain tools to help us optimise the plant and distribution network across the UK & Ireland
Our Ideal Candidate
At this stage in your career, you will be well versed in managing teams with a multitude of skill sets and a range of abilities. Having industry knowledge of gasses is certainly advantageous. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing a large Supply Chain:
- Commercial awareness and previous experience of dealing and handling with suppliers
- A solid understanding and experience of products, commercial procedures and the various PSOs
- You have previous experience of successful delivery of KPI’s
- Furthermore, you have a sound understanding of the core activities undertaken by tonnage and transport operations
- You work with integrity aligned to the values of being an inclusive workplace
- And lastly, as somebody who is naturally curious you have an analytical mindset
